The summer holidays are not a pause from learning. They are learning in a different form – less structured, more exploratory, and often more deeply remembered than many a school term.
At Da Vinci’s International Primary School, we approach the summer with the same intention we bring to the rest of the year: every child should return in September richer – in experiences, skills, and memories that genuinely last.
That’s why Summer Camp is a permanent part of the school year at Da Vinci’s. And it’s included in tuition.
What Is Summer Camp at Da Vinci’s?
Summer Camp at Da Vinci’s is an in-school programme available exclusively to enrolled students of Da Vinci’s International Primary School. Over five weeks of the summer holidays – three at the beginning and two at the end – the school remains open, active, and full of things to discover.
Children take part in activities, workshops, and day trips in the same bilingual environment they know from the school year. No unfamiliar faces, no new settings to adjust to – just more time and more space to explore, move, and enjoy being together, without the pressure of grades or timetables.
Parents decide when and for how long their child participates. Flexibility is built into the model.
Who Can Take Part?
Summer Camp is available exclusively to enrolled students of Da Vinci’s International Primary School, from Year 1 through Year 8.
This is a deliberate choice. We want the summer to feel like a genuine extension of the school community – not an anonymous programme where children are placed with strangers. They know each other, they know the teachers, they know the space. That means they can get straight to the good part.
What Happens During Summer Camp?

Each week of Summer Camp has its own theme – always carefully planned, always bringing together children from different year groups. The programme combines in-school activities with trips around Kraków and its surroundings.
During Summer Camp, students take part in:
- Themed workshops – creative, scientific, linguistic, and sports-based, tailored to each week’s topic
- Day trips – to interesting places in and around Kraków, where the city itself becomes the classroom
- Outdoor activities – because movement and fresh air are the foundation of a healthy summer
- Group challenges – building friendships and social skills in a natural, low-pressure way

Each week brings something new – which means Summer Camp never becomes a repetitive routine. It’s a genuine adventure, and it’s different every time.
A Themed Week in Practice – What Does It Actually Look Like?

To give a sense of what Summer Camp looks like in practice – here’s a glimpse into one of our themed weeks.
During a survival-themed week, students learned to read maps and use a compass, identify tree species and animal tracks, and build a simple water filter from scratch. They visited a local park where they sketched their own maps on location – and then returned to school to turn those sketches into finished works displayed in the school corridor.

The week ended with a large-scale outdoor game in Wolski Forest – group challenges, nature puzzles, orienteering. Every participant received a Young Survivalist Diploma at the close of the week.
That’s just one example. Every themed week at Summer Camp has its own logic and its own atmosphere.
Why Is It Included in Tuition?
We believe high-quality education doesn’t end on the last day of June. The summer holidays are a time when children can develop in ways the school year doesn’t always allow – and we want every Da Vinci’s student to have access to that, without additional fees or admin.
Parents work. Children shouldn’t miss out because of that.
This is one of the things that genuinely sets Da Vinci’s apart from other schools in Kraków – and one of the details many families mention when explaining why they chose us.
