MATHEMATICS

I hold a PhD in mathematics bestowed by the Jagiellonian University.

Research interests: functional analysis, topology theory, statistics, multi-dimensional analysis, differential geometry, optimisation problems, fixed point theory.

Other interests: symbolic computer algebra systems, technologies (non-relational databases, java, python, Linux, microcontrollers, microserver architecture).

In my free time I play football, swim and disappear into the mountains. Memorable quotes: “I shall either find a way or make one”.

PAULINA MACIASZEK

MATHEMATICS

My name is Paulina. I hold a Master’s degree in Medical Engineering, but my true passion has always been mathematics and working with young people. I teach mathematics at Da Vinci’s International Schools, in primary school classes. What gives me the greatest satisfaction is connecting with my students because I love seeing how something that once seemed difficult suddenly becomes clear and logical to them.

After school, you’ll most often find me on the volleyball court, because sports are my favorite way to relax. I also love traveling and spending time with friends – good energy and new places always recharge my batteries.

I believe that math doesn’t have to be scary… all it takes is a bit of patience and a smile.“Mistakes are proof that you are trying.” – Jennifer Lim

MATEUSZ OTTO

MATHEMATICS

I hold a mechanical engineering Master’s degree. I teach mathematics within the IB MYP and DP framework.

I am a lecturer and member of the academic staff at the AGH University of Krakow, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics with an extensive track record. My research work focuses on polymer films in bioengineering. On top of that I have been teaching mathematics for more than ten years. This has always been my passion. Aside from teaching I have founded an architectural company which flawlessly brings together mathematics and design.

In my spare time I like to shoot and go to the gym.
